We had quite a productive day this past Saturday, February 22nd, at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Albany. 21 CFAC Committee members and CAYP members rolled up their sleeves and put on their chef hats on the unusually warm day to assist with tasks such as cooking breakfast, baking goodies, preparing dinner, spring cleaning, and performing assorted odd jobs.
Our members were able to interact with residents of the House and hear first-hand about how the Ronald McDonald House has alleviated some of the worry and allowed them to focus on what is truly important-the health of their child-during a difficult time.
The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of seriously ill children. With the help of many volunteers and donations, the House is able to provide the comforts of home at no cost to the families. Since 1982, the Ronald McDonald House of Albany has had over 14,000 visits from families across 37 New York counties, 38 states, and 29 countries.
We were happy to be able to help the Ronald McDonald House on Saturday. Special thanks to Tina and all of the volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House for everything!
