Look up. No, not at the ceiling. Check out the CAYP website’s new banner. Enthusiastic CAYP member Mark Rose contributed his design skills to help spruce up our site. As owner of Groupiehead Concepts and guitar player for Ten Year Vamp, he has quite the full plate. We were extremely grateful for his time, so we traded him some limelight.
Groupiehead Concepts is a marketing company specializing in website design and hosting, along with other marketing materials. Groupiehead serves clients all over the US and Canada. In the past year, they have opened for over a dozen national acts, including Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. Their songs have been used by Fox Sports, TLC, Dockers Jeans, and Adobe Corporation. Let’s Chat
Between Groupiehead and Ten Year Vamp, how do you find the time to manage both?
“That’s easy. If I’m not working for Groupiehead clients, I’m working on Ten Year Vamp stuff. Both “jobs” need 60+ hours a week. If I’m not sleeping, I’m working on one or the other.”
How has involvement with CAYP been beneficial to you?
“As I get to know people and they become comfortable with me, they’ll send me work… and I’ll send them work, too. It’s great to meet new people and hear about what they’re doing… CAYP meetings are like a giant Facebook wall, all live in one room. ”
Tell us about your most memorable Ten Year Vamp performance.
“We’ve been fortunate enough to play so many fantastic shows. The most memorable show was opening for Aerosmith in front of 15,000 people. It’s pretty wild to grow up listening to Aerosmith and then have the chance to hang out with them backstage all day.”
Where does the name “Groupiehead” come from?
“It was originally the name for software I designed to help clubs and restaurants manage their entertainment schedules. It was so catchy, I decided to keep it for the website/graphic design business. People seem to remember it… and that’s the whole idea.”
Come to the next CAYP event to meet Mark Rose and many more wonderful CAYP Members!
